Digital Fortress

Just finished my second book while working at IGS and this time it was Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. It turned out to be very similar to his previous books I’ve read Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code. The book is about the NSA and it’s staff and how they come across an unsolvable encryption algorithm which might bring down their whole operation of breaking encryptions from terrorists and foreign countries. The book is a quick read and is written as a thriller and is passible as a way to spend time but not really a good book.
Rating: 2/5

When the NSA’s invincible code-breaking machine – encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls in its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant and beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage…not by guns or bombs, but by a code so ingeniously complex that if released it will cripple U.S. intelligence.
