After seeing Ice Age 2 I was in an animation mood and noticed I had yet to watch Hoodwinked which I had lying around on DVD. The film is bloody brilliant, it’s the story of Little Red Riding Hood, a truly classic story but there is more to the tale than meets the eye. The story pretty much ends like we’ve all heard it before, but what happens next and throughout the day is what we haven’t heard before. After the wolf is stopped dead in his track threatening Red by the woodsman the police comes along to investigate this domestic disturbance at Granny’s cottage. All the people (and wolf) involved are questioned one by one to reveal their part of the story. This all ties into the Goody Bandit who has been stealing the recipes of goody shops everywhere. This movie is hilarious and although the animation isn’t up to Disney or Dreamworks standards its actually quite good. I really recommend people give this one a try.
