Santa’s Slay

It’s finally here the final B-Movie of the day, this time it’s Santa’s Slay. This one I was really looking forward to seeing after reading the description. I’m not making this up put this film is about the Devil’s Son actually being Santa Clause who after having lost a wager to an angel (despite gambling being forbidden in the Bible) back in the year 1005 has been forced to become Santa Clause for the last 1000 years and be a force for good. But now in 2005 his time is up and he seeks revenge on the angel and all those darn brats who sent him those letter over the past 1000 years. So Santa goes on a bloody (and I mean bloody) rampage killing everything in sight. And it’s up to the angel, his grandson and his girlfriend to stop Santa Clause from ruining christmas. The most interesting bit about this film is that it stars a number of well known actors who are all killed in the first 15 minutes of the film except for Emilie de Ravin who plays the girlfriend (you may know he as Claire from Lost). Other noteworthy actors who all get offed are: Fran Drescher, James Caan, Rebecca Gayheart, Chris Kattan and Saul Rubinek. One thing I really found funny about the film was the fact that the book that contained Santa Clause’s real story is named the Necronomicon and is written in MODERN ICELANDIC, seriously I first thought it was old Norwegian which was what they said it was but when I pause and looked closely it’s actually modern Icelandic and I could read it perfectly. This flick is really one of a kind, I mean a holiday horror film starring Santa as a maniac killer there really aren’t that many people that aren’t already in mental institutes that can think this crap up. This is a must see for everyone, really gets you into the holiday spirit and was a great way of ending B-Movie day :)
