The Spirit
Posted on Jan 6, 2009 in MoviesI went to see Frank Miller’s new movie, The Spirit a few days ago. It’s a movie based on comic strip which was created in the 40s by Will Eisner. The story follows the Spirit which has established himself as a police sanctioned enforcer for good in the city of Central City. The movie is shot in a way similar to Sin City but make no mistake, this is not Sin City in any way, this is a over the top type of comic book movie with a cheese plot and some bad acting (I think they are actually trying to be intentionally bad but I’m not sure…). It’s a fun movie to go see if you’re in the mood for something ridiculous (for example you’ll get Samuel L. Jackson explaining the plot of the movie in a Nazi uniform for no apparent reason except it being ridiculous….) otherwise stay away.
