I wasn’t too interested in seeing Valkyrie when it came out in the cinema because it had Tom Cruise as the main role and I have not liked him in any role since the first Mission Impossible movie. But I did finally cave and watched it on DVD. Valkyrie is a movie about an internal plot in the German army during the Second World War to kill Hitler and end the war. The plot is not that interesting since anyone who has even an inkling of knowledge about the Second World War knows that the plot failed, all the conspirators were executed and Hitler later killed himself in his bunker. So what could keep someone watching the movie where he knows the plot beforehand. Good acting is the first thing that springs to mind but unfortunately the actors don’t deliver on this and most of them offer boring and stiff performances with Tom Cruise leading the heard (even Bill Nighy felt boring ) :/

I say don’t bother seeing this movie but if you are interested in learning about it’s content just read the wikipedia article.
