Dragonlance Chronicles (1)

I just finished listening to Dragonlance Chronicles (1): Dragons of Autumn Twilight on audiobook while being at the gym last week. The book is a pretty cool fantasy novel. The book tells the story of a diverse group of friends who venture on an adventure that leads them into a struggle against the evil Draconians and the Dragonlords as they try to revive the knowledge of the old gods which have been silenced for the last 300 years. The book is filled with fantasy and mystical creatures of various kind and tells a great story. Can’t wait to read/listen to the second book in the series.
Rating: 4/5

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

  1. Dragonlance Chronicles and Dragonlance Legends were my favorite fantasy books ever. Loved the characters and the stories. After that, other authors picked up the ball and continued writing more Dragonlance stories, but they weren’t the same.

If you enjoy those two series, then you also need to read the short story by Weiss and Hickman in the 3rd book of Dragonlance Tales.

  2. Oops. In my last comment, I meant you need to read the short story in the FIRST book of Dragonlance Tales. I believe it’s called Legacy.
