Which console shall I get
Posted on May 18, 2005 in GamesI think that the Revolution is basically just the GameCube all over again It will arrive too late to the scene, it’s gamebase will mostly just contain rehashes of your Nintendo favorites and those will be the only games worth playing (I mean on the GC there are only 5-6 games I think are worthy of owning, the X-Box around 20-30 and the PS2 50+, hell I own way more than 50 PS2 games, working for a video game store has it’s perks). I’m also disappointed in the idea of 512MB built in flash memory, they’re giving us emulation in their system straight out of the box but with no real space to use it to much degree if the same memory must then also be used for saves it’s a waste
Don’t get me wrong I love Nintendo, the NES and the N64 were really fun consoles and SNES was by far the best RPG platform of it’s time. But I will not be getting a revolution because it will be coming out too late and will not offer much except sequels to games I’ve played on their previous systems before. I’m getting a PS3 because, well lets face it I’m a Playstation fan and it’s going to have some awesome games and definitely some good RPGs which is really an issue for me. I’m also getting a X-Box 360, but that is mostly for it’s media center features and hopes of continued strong homebrew market that has been available for the X-Box, with only 733mhz and 64MB of RAM there have been some amazing things they’ve done with the X-Box, all those emulators, XBMC and original game ports (BoR). If the same continues for X-Box 360 I’ll be one happy.
