X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Posted on May 2, 2009 in MoviesI recently saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine the new film in the X-Men series, this time a prequel telling the origin of Wolverine/Logan. The movie tell the origin of Logan with a short clip from when he was a child in the 1850′s and then later moves on to tell a story of his participation in wars through out history. It later goes on to tell the story of how Logan’s skeleton was grafted with his adamantium by the US army’s General Stryker from the previous movies. Then the movie goes on to get Wolverine mad and attack Stryker for revenge or something or nothing…
I really really hate this movie, it takes all these good Wolverine stories and twists them into incomplete garbage. They make Sabertooth Wolverine’s brother, which he isn’t. They introduce Gambit just to introduce Gambit, he doesn’t really do anything in this movie. Also most of the plot devices are just that plot devices, set out to further the plot and are in no way coherent to each other. There is no structuring in the film it was most likely written on the back of a napkin somewhere.
Don’t bother seeing this movie. Go read a book instead.
